Old Madam Yan took her grandson's hand, the smile on her face deepening even further.

"Yichen, Grandma can tell, you really like Miss Meng, don't you?"

Yan Yichen shook his head with a helpless smile. "Grandma, nothing escapes you..."

Yan Yichen raised an eyebrow. "However... I've changed my mind now."

"How can you change your mind?"

"Why can't I?"

Yan Yichen let out a low chuckle, his slender fingers gently pinching her delicate chin.

"Kissing my own girlfriend is only natural and entirely lawful."

"..."

Meng Yi'er rolled her bright, round eyes, her brain spinning at the speed of light as she tried to come up with a counterargument.

Yet, in just a fraction of a second, Yan Yichen's lips had already pressed firmly against hers.

"Yan Yichen, you broke your promise..."

Meng Yi'er accused him with a blushing face, unable to break free, left with no choice but to passively endure his gentle kiss.

A faint, clean fragrance drifted from her slightly parted lips. Exercising restraint, Yan Yichen did not deepen the kiss, tasting her sweetness briefly before releasing her soon after.

"How can you blame me for this?"

Pressing his forehead against hers, Yan Yichen spoke in a deep, husky voice that slowly rippled through the air, a smile playing on his god-like, handsome face, tinged with a hint of innocence.

Meng Yi'er was momentarily dazed by his breathtaking smile, her heart beating wildly.

After a long while, she gradually came to her senses and reproached him coquettishly, "If I don't blame you, who should I blame? Am I supposed to blame myself?"

Was this man being unreasonable? It was clearly he who had broken his promise, so how could he possibly shift the blame onto someone else?

"Of course I have to blame you."

Meng Yi'er was exasperated. "Me? How can you still blame me?"

Yan Yichen smiled, leaving a gentle kiss on her forehead. With his dark, fathomless eyes locked onto her face, he said softly, "If you weren't so tempting, how could I possibly have lost control of myself?"

Shyly lowering her gaze, Meng Yi'er allowed him to hold her. With her flushed little face pressed against his chest, listening to the drum-like beating of his heart, her face grew even redder.

After hesitating for a moment, she gently pushed him away. "It's getting late, you should go back."

Deep reluctance filled Yan Yichen's eyes, but he still let her go.

"I'll wait for you to have breakfast together tomorrow morning."

Meng Yi'er nodded, her bright eyes gazing up at him as she flashed him a brilliant smile.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Watching her close the bedroom door, cutting off the view between them, Yan Yichen let out a soft sigh, the corners of his lips curling slightly upward, bringing a smile to his cold, handsome face that didn't quite match his usual demeanor.

Hearing the door open, Aunt Yun walked out of her room, a deep, affectionate smile gracing her kind face.

"Is the young master back?"

"Mm." Yan Yichen responded as he changed his shoes.

"Aunt Yun, why aren't you asleep yet at this hour?"

Aunt Yun walked over to the doorway to put the shoes away in the cabinet. "An old person doesn't need as much sleep... I couldn't sleep. Did the young master go on a date with Miss Meng?"

Yan Yichen gave a faint smile, a trace of imperceptible bashfulness quietly flashing through his dark-jade-like eyes. "Aunt Yun, go on to sleep now."

Seeing the young master, who was always taciturn and rarely smiled, reveal such a slightly shy expression, the smile on Aunt Yun's face deepened further. She smiled and said,

"Alright, alright... I'm going to sleep, you should get some rest early too."

"Alright... Goodnight, Aunt Yun."

Aunt Yun gave him an affectionate look and turned to walk toward her room on the first floor. After taking just a few steps, she suddenly looked back and said,

"Yichen, Old Madam called today. She said she'd like to come over and have a meal with Miss Meng tomorrow."

The more Aunt Yun spoke, the softer her voice became, casting a guilty glance at him.

"How does Grandma know?"
