Seeing him step out of the car, a rare smile broke across the stern face of the butler, Sude. He hurried forward to take the car keys from Yan Yichen, following respectfully behind him as they entered the villa.

"Young Master, you're finally back. If the Master knew you were back, he would be overjoyed..."

Yan Yichen stepped into the villa's foyer and, not seeing Yan Song, asked indifferently, "Uncle De, where is my dad?"

Yan Yichen arched an eyebrow. "However... I've changed my mind now."

"How can you go back on your word?"

"Why can't I?"

Yan Yichen let out a low chuckle, his slender fingers gently pinching her delicate chin.

"I'm kissing my own girlfriend, which is entirely justified and not against the law."

"..."

Meng Yi'er rolled her bright, round eyes, her brain spinning at the speed of light to find a retort.

Yet, in just a fraction of a second, Yan Yichen's lips had already pressed firmly against hers.

"Yan Yichen, you're going back on your word..."

Meng Yi'er accused him with a blushing face, unable to break free, left to passively endure his tender kiss.

Her slightly parted lips released a faint, delicate fragrance. Exercising restraint, Yan Yichen did not deepen the kiss; it was a mere taste before he quickly released her.

"How can you blame me?"

Yan Yichen pressed his forehead against hers, his deep, husky voice gently rippling by her ear. A smile hung on his god-like handsome face, carrying even a trace of innocence.

Looking at his mesmerizing smile, Meng Yi'er lost herself for a moment, her heart beating wildly.

After a long while, she gradually came to her senses and reproached playfully,

"If I don't blame you, who should I blame? Am I supposed to blame myself?"

Was this man making any sense at all? It was clearly he who broke his promise, yet he was turning the blame onto someone else.

"Of course I'm blaming you."

Meng Yi'er was exasperated. "Me? Why are you blaming me?"

Yan Yichen chuckled, gently pressing a kiss to her forehead. His dark, fathomless eyes locked onto her face, and he said softly, "If you weren't so alluring, how could I possibly lose control of myself?"

Shyly, Meng Yi'er lowered her gaze, letting him hold her. Her flushed little face pressed against his chest, listening to his drum-like heartbeat, making her blush even more intensely.

After a moment of hesitation, she gently pushed him away. "It's late, you should go back."

Deep reluctance filled Yan Yichen's eyes, but he still released her.

"I'll wait for you to have breakfast together tomorrow morning."

Meng Yi'er nodded, her bright eyes gazing at him as she flashed a brilliant smile.

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Watching her close the bedroom door, cutting off the sight of her, Yan Yichen let out a soft sigh, the corners of his lips curling upward. His cold, striking face wore a smile entirely out of character for him.

Hearing the door open, Aunt Yun walked out of her room, her kindly face wreathed in broad smiles.

"The Young Master is back?"

"Yeah." Yan Yichen replied as he changed his shoes.

"Aunt Yun, why aren't you asleep yet at this hour?"

Aunt Yun walked to the doorway and put the shoes away into the shoe cabinet. "When you get old, you sleep less... Couldn't sleep. Did the Young Master go on a date with Miss Meng?"

Yan Yichen offered a faint smile, a trace of imperceptible bashfulness flashing through his ink-black eyes. "Aunt Yun, go on to sleep."

Seeing the usually taciturn and stern Young Master display such a slightly shy smile, Aunt Yun's smile deepened even further. She said cheerfully,

"Alright, alright... I'm going to sleep now. You should get some rest early too."
