Chapter 133
Ye Fengyun grew increasingly puzzled. He reached out to take her pulse, only to find it perfectly normal and her body in excellent health.
Before Ye Fengyun could react, Elder Xu stepped forward with a smile to express his gratitude.
"Thank you, Mr. Ye! Without you, my daughter would not have recovered so quickly. You must attend my art exhibition three days from now!"
As he spoke, Elder Xu pressed an invitation into Ye Fengyun’s hand.
The group laughed and buzzed about, ushering Ye Fengyun out of Xu Meijiao’s room. Meanwhile, Xu Meijiao remained sitting on the bed, dazed, her expression vacant and motionless.
After a meal, Ye Fengyun departed under the warm hospitality of the Xu family. He left with the property deed and transfer documents for the villa in hand. The villa, a gift from Elder Xu, was nestled on the slopes of Mount Cuiyun, boasting beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate—an ideal place to live.
On the way back, Elder Yun asked, "Aren't you going to take a look at your villa?"
Ye Fengyun put away the property deed, his expression turning serious. "Elder Yun, did you find the Xu family acting particularly strange today?"
Prompted by his words, Elder Yun slowly nodded.
"I thought I was the only one who felt that way," Elder Yun said solemnly.
Recalling the events, Ye Fengyun explained, "When I first checked Xu Meijiao’s pulse, there were two distinct rhythms. But after I cured her, the pulse I felt did not match either of the previous two."
Elder Yun frowned. "How is that possible? How could one person have three different pulses in such a short time?"
Ye Fengyun found it equally strange and could not make any sense of it.
Upon returning to the Tang residence, Ye Fengyun walked in to find Tang Yilin kneeling in the living room, while Tang Shihan looked on with a helpless expression. Tang Yilin’s clothes were disheveled, her hair a mess; the elegance and allure she once possessed were entirely gone.
Seeing Ye Fengyun return, Tang Yilin scrambled to his feet and crawled toward him, clutching his calf and sobbing, "Ye Fengyun, I know I was wrong! I will never dare to touch Tang Shihan again. Please, save me! I am in so much pain."
Ye Fengyun smiled, gently kicked Tang Yilin away, and walked over to put an arm around Tang Shihan’s waist. "Come, my wife, sit down. You’re expecting; you must be careful not to distress the baby."
Tang Shihan was startled and whispered urgently, "How could you let Tang Yilin know I’m pregnant?"
"What does it matter?" Ye Fengyun replied. "She already knew. But don't worry, she wouldn't dare do anything to you now. If she dares to make a move—"
With a snap of his fingers, Tang Yilin immediately clutched her head and began rolling on the floor in agony.
"Aaargh!"
Tang Yilin looked utterly wretched. Tang Shihan covered her mouth, watching Ye Fengyun in disbelief.
"Is this really 'pressure point striking'?" Tang Shihan asked, looking at him with astonishment.
Realizing he might have overdone it and frightened her, Ye Fengyun quickly said, "Ah, it’s a form of it. My dear, if you think she’s suffered enough, I can release the point now."
Looking at the agonizing Tang Yilin, Tang Shihan felt a sense of revulsion, but they were family after all, and she could not bring herself to be truly ruthless.
"Release her in half an hour. Let her suffer a little longer."
With that, Tang Shihan turned and headed to the bedroom.
Ye Fengyun gave a thumbs-up in approval of her decision. *That’s my wife—merciless enough. I like it.*
Hearing Tang Shihan’s response, Tang Yilin let out a series of wails, screaming even louder than before.
