Chapter 100
Chapter 100
After watching the footage, Ye Fengyun muttered to himself, "No wonder Tang Yilin always falsely accused Tang Shihan; it was a classic case of the thief crying 'stop thief.'"
Long San asked, "Young master, should we replace the video with this one?"
Ye Fengyun had the hacker open a video file on Tang Yilin’s computer desktop—it was the AI face-swapped footage she intended to play at Tang Shihan’s wedding.
Ye Fengyun paused for a moment, a sly and sinister smile creeping across his lips.
“No need. Use AI to swap Tang Yilin’s face onto it,” Ye Fengyun instructed.
Long San questioned, “What about the video proving Tang Yilin’s infidelity?”
“Keep that video for me. If she dares to harass my wife again, I’ll use it against her,” Ye Fengyun said firmly.
Long San nodded in agreement.
The hacker, skilled beyond measure, swiftly completed Ye Fengyun’s orders. He copied both Tang Yilin’s chat logs and videos of her with other men, sending all the evidence to Ye Fengyun. At the same time, he provided Ye Fengyun with a custom-made software tool that allowed him to access Tang Yilin’s computer simply by inputting a specific code.
Ye Fengyun stored everything on a USB drive, smiling with quiet satisfaction.
Now that he held Tang Yilin’s secrets firmly in his hands, if she dared to bother Tang Shihan again, Ye Fengyun would show no mercy.
Thinking of Tang Shihan brought to mind their recent quarrel, igniting a flicker of anger inside him.
“Little lady, I’ve done all this for you, yet you still sulk at me. If Tang Yilin dares to trouble you again, I won’t care anymore,” Ye Fengyun muttered.
Although he said this with a sharp tongue, Ye Fengyun was soft-hearted beneath it all. When the time truly came, he would undoubtedly side with Tang Shihan. After all, she was his wife—that was the natural order of things.
Once everything was prepared, Ye Fengyun sent the higher-ups home and went to find the private detective.
The detective, having pocketed a hefty sum from Lin Lei, was now indulging himself at a karaoke bar, ordering eight escorts for company.
As he drank, he caressed the smooth legs and pert curves of one of the women, lost in the warm embrace of fleeting pleasures.
Suddenly, the door to the private room burst open. A woman with reddened eyes stumbled in, tears streaming down her face.
“Why are you doing this to me? You know those news reports are fabricated. You know those photos are fake. So why did you send them to the media?” she sobbed, confronting the detective.
The detective shrugged, unconcerned. “Fake or real? Once I send it out, it’s real.”
“Those photos and videos are all forged!”
“Hey, the videos? Listen, my evidence is solid. If you keep making a fuss, I’ll call security!” he threatened.
The woman collapsed to her knees, pleading desperately. “Please spare me. I’m just a small fish in the entertainment industry. Because of your scandalous photos, my boyfriend left me, my agency dropped me, and I’m bankrupt. My elderly mother depends on me, and my father injured his back on a construction site—I have to pay for his treatment. The pressure from public opinion is suffocating me. Please, help me.”
“That’s none of my business! It’s the media that pushed you to this point, not me. I just provided the photos and videos,” the detective retorted coldly.
“Please help me issue a statement saying those photos and videos are fake. I can’t hold on much longer. My family depends on me to earn a living and save lives.”
The detective sneered. “You want me to issue a statement? Sure, as long as the money’s right, anything’s possible.”
“I—I don’t have any money now.”
“No money? Then get lost!” the detective snapped angrily.
The escorts with him began mocking the young actress.
“Making money to support your family? What a lame excuse.”
“Yeah, I bet you’re just putting on a show, fabricating your image to gain sympathy.”
“Get out of the way, or I’ll have security throw you out!”
The actress sobbed and shouted, “Do you have no conscience? You fabricate evidence, fake photos and videos to ruin people—all for money!”
“Bullshit! My evidence is real! This is how I make a living. You’re slandering me and damaging my reputation. Believe it or not, I’ll sue you!”
“Damage your reputation? Is your reputation even worth anything?”
At that moment, an abrasive voice cut through the tension.
“Who’s that? How dare you disrespect me! Don’t you know I’m a wealthy man now?” the detective roared.
