Chapter 93: Do You Really Think You’re Invincible?
A shriek tore from Hu Hong’s throat as one of his arms was blasted into a spray of blood.
Shock flooded his face.
Before he could even gather his thoughts, the remaining force slammed into him. He coughed up a mouthful of old blood and was sent flying backward.
“Old Hu!”
Seeing Hu Hong hurled away, the gray-robed elder lunged forward, reaching out to catch him. But the instant his hand touched Hu Hong’s body, a terrifying power surged through his arm and flung the two of them together through the air.
At that moment, a deathly silence fell over the entire Su residence.
Yang Juncheng, Deng Gang, and Lin Mei all stood frozen, unable to recover for a long time.
With a casual wave of the hand, a martial king had been crippled, and not only that, the two of them had been blasted away.
They were martial kings.
How could Young Master Su be this strong?
“Damn, is this really my son? I thought he was only somewhat capable before. I never imagined the brat had hidden himself this deeply!” Su Zhenguo said in astonishment.
Good heavens.
Dad, did you see that?
If you had not passed away back then, with your grandson’s strength now, wouldn’t he have been able to show off for you and carry you straight to the heavens?
At this moment, husband and wife alike felt as if they were dreaming.
On the other side, Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder struggled back to their feet from the ground, their eyes fixed on Su Yifan with utter shock.
“Old Hu, are you all right?” the gray-robed elder asked with concern.
“I’m fine. It’s only an arm,” Hu Hong said, shaking his head.
The gray-robed elder looked at Su Yifan, and the contempt in his eyes was gone. “This boy has hidden his strength. We can’t afford to be careless anymore.”
“Let’s go together and finish him!”
As soon as the words left his mouth, both men released the terrifying aura of martial king experts.
Under that pressure, Yang Juncheng and the other two felt their legs weaken. They were forced back step by step, unable to stand steadily.
By contrast, after Su Zhenguo and his wife were pressed by that aura, a flash of golden light appeared on their bodies. In the next instant, a pale golden barrier enveloped them both.
The guards, protected by the talismans Su Yifan had given them, were likewise completely unaffected.
“What? Is this family cheating or something?” Yang Juncheng and the others were so stunned their jaws nearly hit the floor.
Just then, Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder bent slightly, then shot toward Su Yifan like arrows loosed from a bow.
“Brat, so you are that martial king after all. But what of it? In front of two martial kings, you will still die!”
No sooner had he spoken than the two of them had already reached Su Yifan’s front, each throwing a fist straight for his head.
“Scram.”
Su Yifan calmly uttered a single word.
That voice carried a terrifying force that sent Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder reeling backward.
Hiss.
Everyone was numb.
Numbed completely.
One word to force the enemy back.
Young Master Su, just how deeply have you been hiding yourself? No matter how one probed, there was no bottom to you.
“Our young master is awesome!”
“My son did well! Beat the hell out of them!”
Su Zhenguo and the guards shouted at once.
At this moment, there was not a trace of worry left on their faces, only excitement.
That was the sense of security that came from sheer power.
“This kid is strange. We can’t hold anything back anymore.”
“Fine!”
Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder exchanged a glance and nodded.
By their estimation, Su Yifan’s strength should be at the later stage of the martial king realm, while they were both at the middle stage.
If they wanted to defeat him, they would have to give everything they had.
“Heaven-Locking Palm!”
“Thunderbolt Fist!”
The two rose into the air, condensing in front of themselves two gigantic phantom manifestations of energy, one a palm and one a fist.
The next moment, the fist and palm crashed downward with unmatched force, as though they intended to swallow Su Yifan whole.
“Yifan!”
“Young Master Su!”
“Young Master!”
Though they had just begun to relax, seeing such formidable techniques made everyone anxious once more.
Su Yifan looked at the two incoming attacks, his eyes utterly still.
He extended one hand toward them.
The next instant—
Snap.
A sharp click rang out.
Then something miraculous happened.
The two attacks simply dispersed into nothing in midair after that single snap.
In that instant, everyone was dumbfounded.
Such powerful attacks, and they were shattered by a single snap of the fingers?
Was this some kind of movie set?
Did heaven still have any justice left?
“Th-this is impossible!”
Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder trembled all over when they saw it.
After their brief shock, they knew they were no match for Su Yifan, and immediately sprang into the sky, trying to flee.
“Come when you please and leave when you please? Do you think I don’t exist?”
Su Yifan shook his head. With a single step, he was suddenly above the Su residence, right in front of Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder.
“Down you go.”
Bang! Bang!
Su Yifan kicked twice, sending both men crashing from the sky.
Where they landed, the marble floor was smashed into two deep pits, spiderweb cracks spreading in all directions.
It was impossible to know how many bones in Hu Hong and the gray-robed elder had been broken. They lay on the ground, struggling for a long while without managing to rise.
They truly could not imagine it.
How had this young man, barely over twenty years old, cultivated himself to such a terrifying level?
At that moment, Su Yifan walked to Hu Hong, placed one foot on his head, and asked, “Speak. Where is the headquarters of Shadow Lament? And what are the strengths of the main members inside? Tell me everything.”
“You... don’t even think about it! I would rather die than betray our organization,” Hu Hong snarled, glaring at Su Yifan.
Su Yifan smiled faintly. “Good. You’ve got backbone.”
As soon as the words fell—
Bang.
Hu Hong’s head was crushed beneath his foot.
“No, Old Hu!”
The gray-robed elder watched Hu Hong die, his eyes filled with despair.
Before coming here, the two of them had thought their organization was making too much of a fuss. Only now did they realize what kind of terrifying existence they had been facing.
Su Yifan looked at him. “Forget it. I won’t bother asking anymore. Call your headquarters right now and tell them to come here.”
As soon as those words were spoken, Yang Juncheng and the others thought they had heard wrong.
Then Deng Gang hurriedly said, “Young Master Su, you mustn’t!”
“What is it?” Su Yifan asked.
Deng Gang quickly explained, “Young Master Su, their headquarters is full of experts. From what I know, the master of Shadow Lament is even a martial emperor.”
“So we absolutely cannot let him summon reinforcements!”
Upon hearing this, Su Yifan smiled with utter disdain. “A mere martial emperor. Look at how frightened you are.”
He ignored Deng Gang no further and turned to the gray-robed elder. “What are you standing there for? Hurry up and make the call.”
What?
He really intended to let him call for help?
“You... are you serious?” the gray-robed elder asked cautiously.
“Didn’t you hear what I said? If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll send you down now to play cards with the King of Hell,” Su Yifan said impatiently.
Hearing this, the gray-robed elder no longer hesitated. He immediately took out his phone, found the number, and dialed.
Very soon, the call was connected.
He said a few quick words to the other end, then hung up.
“Brat, I have to admit you do have some ability. It’s just a pity you have no idea how stupid your decision is,” the gray-robed elder said with a triumphant smile.
He had thought the other was joking earlier, but he never imagined Su Yifan would truly make him call for reinforcements. Was this not courting death?
Young and reckless indeed.
Did he really think he was invincible?
Su Yifan said nothing. He simply swept out a slap.
Bang.
Before the gray-robed elder could react, his entire body was turned into a cloud of blood mist.
