Chapter 10: I Bet There Are No Bullets in Your Gun
Six o’clock in the evening.
Su Yifan sat with his family for dinner.
It had been five years, and today was the most complete reunion they’d had.
After the meal, Su Yifan excused himself, claiming exhaustion, and retired early to his room.
Eight o’clock at night.
A streak of light shot out from the Su residence, darting swiftly in a certain direction.
…
Meanwhile, at the Wang family villa.
Inside the study.
The patriarch, Wang Xiong, sat with his eyes closed, resting.
Suddenly, there was an urgent knocking at the door.
“Come in,” Wang Xiong said coolly, without opening his eyes.
A middle-aged man in his fifties hurried in. This was Chen Ming, the Wang family’s butler.
“Master, something terrible has happened,” Chen Ming said anxiously as he rushed to Wang Xiong’s side.
“What’s the matter? Why are you so flustered?” Wang Xiong opened his eyes slowly, displeased.
The butler stepped closer and lowered his voice. “Master, the men from the Green Gang… they’re all dead.”
“All dead?” Wang Xiong was stunned, his heart pounding. “Explain clearly—what happened?”
Chen Ming dared not conceal anything and spoke in detail. “Master, earlier you asked me to send someone to the Green Gang to check on the situation. Our man just returned.”
“He said that as soon as he arrived, he was hit by a strong smell of blood. When he went inside, he found the place awash in blood.”
“There was only one corpse left—Dragon Batian himself.”
Chen Ming repeated everything as told by the man he’d sent. At first, he hadn’t believed it, but the man had staked his life on its truth, so Chen Ming hurried to report to Wang Xiong.
“Dragon Batian is dead too?!” Wang Xiong was utterly shocked.
He could hardly believe it! He’d spoken to Dragon Batian on the phone that morning, and now, less than a day later, he was dead?
He knew the Green Gang’s strength— even his own Wang family would struggle to eliminate them.
And Dragon Batian was a formidable martial artist at the peak of the Dark Force. Who could possibly have the strength to kill him?
Could it be the Su family?
He immediately dismissed the thought.
Impossible. The old master of the Su family had passed away, and the rest were weaklings—none could match Dragon Batian.
If not the Su family, then who?
“Doesn’t the Green Gang’s base have surveillance cameras? Did you check?”
“We did, but for some reason, all the cameras were destroyed.”
“Destroyed?” Wang Xiong narrowed his eyes in contemplation.
This was clearly a premeditated assassination, and the perpetrator’s strength surpassed even Dragon Batian’s.
He suddenly wondered, “Could Dragon Batian have gotten the goods, only for someone else to intercept him?”

The idea surged in his mind.
Bang!
Wang Xiong slammed the table in fury. “Investigate! Find out the truth at any cost!”
“No one dares steal from the Wang family and lives!”
“Yes, Master. I’ll send men at once.”
Chen Ming had never seen the patriarch so enraged. He dared not hesitate and hurried out to arrange the investigation.
But just as he turned to leave—
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of loud crashes echoed from outside.
“What’s going on?” Wang Xiong heard the commotion and quickly stood up.
Just then, a severely wounded guard staggered in. “Master, something’s wrong—someone has broken in!”
He barely finished speaking before collapsing dead on the floor.
Wang Xiong roared in anger, “Such audacity! How dare someone cause trouble in my house? Gather everyone—follow me!”
“Yes!” Chen Ming answered and ran out.
…
At that moment, in the Wang family’s grand hall.
Su Yifan held a thug by the throat. With a slight twist—crack!—the man’s neck snapped, his life ending instantly.
“So this is the Wang family? Not much to speak of,” Su Yifan said, tossing the corpse aside.
Facing him, over twenty thugs stared, breath heavy, none daring to move. They’d witnessed Su Yifan’s killing firsthand.
One strike, swift and clean!
Unstoppable!
“Who dares cause trouble in my house?” came a voice from behind the crowd.
Relief filled the thugs’ hearts.
The master is here. Boy, your time is up!
Quickly, the crowd parted to reveal Wang Xiong, followed by several elders.
Upon seeing the troublemaker, Wang Xiong sneered, “Who gave you the courage to come here alone and stir trouble?”
“You’ve killed so many of my men—tonight, you will die!”
As soon as he finished, an elder stepped forward. “Master, leave him to me. I’ll make him wish he were dead!”
“Good,” Wang Xiong replied.
But in the next instant—
Bang!
The elder exploded into a mist of blood, splattering Wang Xiong and his followers.
“What? The elder… dead?”
“Terrifying!”

The Wang family’s thugs stared in horror, swallowing nervously.
Was he even human?
No one had even attacked, and yet the elder was dead!
“Is everyone in the Wang family this worthless?” Su Yifan looked at Wang Xiong coldly.
“You…” Wang Xiong fumed. “Elders, attack together! Don’t give him a chance!”
The elders hesitated only briefly before stepping forward.
As elders, they enjoyed luxury every day. Now was the time to contribute.
This was just a young upstart.
They were all martial artists of intermediate or peak Dark Force. Surely, together, they could easily kill him.
“Brothers, finish him!” one shouted.
They attacked simultaneously, aiming for Su Yifan’s vitals.
Aiming to kill in one blow!
“A few ants, thinking themselves important,” Su Yifan said, impatient, waving his hand.
In the next moment—
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Before the elders could comprehend what happened, they all turned to mist, their blood drifting away.
“Hiss!”
Everyone gasped in horror at the sight of the elders’ deaths.
Just like that—the elders were gone?
Was this young man a demon?
A mere wave, and they vanished?
Wang Xiong himself was terrified, his mind racing to find a way out of this catastrophe.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. He asked cautiously, “Did you destroy the Green Gang?”
“That’s right. But you’ll soon join them.”
Su Yifan raised his hand to strike.
But just then—
Having confirmed the culprit was the one who destroyed the Green Gang, Wang Xiong showed no fear. He swiftly pulled a black pistol from behind his back.
“Surprised? I have a backup plan.”
Wang Xiong aimed the gun at Su Yifan’s head, sneering.
“Master is mighty!”
“Master is awesome!”
The thugs cheered, energized.
As the saying goes: beyond ten paces, the gun is fast; within ten paces, it’s faster and deadlier.
Su Yifan stood at roughly ten paces away.
Ha! Boy, you’re out of tricks now!
Su Yifan looked at the clueless crowd and laughed, his gaze cold as he fixed on Wang Xiong.
“You really think this pathetic gun can stop me? I bet there are no bullets in it.”
“Bet your mother! You think I’m an idiot?” Wang Xiong cursed, then pulled the trigger without hesitation.
