Chapter 96: The Head of Fish Head Village

“Follow me!” Tang Long smiled and led Jiang Xue toward the reception point of the Flower Fish Head Resort opposite them.

Jiang Xue’s eyes widened in astonishment. Was this man really planning to take her to stir up trouble?

“That Tang Long, it’s not early anymore. Why don’t we head back to Fish Head Village first?” Jiang Xue blocked his path, worry flickering in her heart that this Tang big brother might cause an incident. She had heard about the Flower Fish Head Resort’s affairs as well, though their actions were somewhat shady, it wasn’t something force could resolve.

“No problem, I don’t mind the time!” Tang Long smiled. Jiang Xue didn’t stop him; instead, she found herself being gently pushed forward toward the Flower Fish Head Resort reception.

Jiang Xue wasn’t one to back down easily. Although she was worried in her heart, there was also a faint thrill of excitement, as if her bones were itching to “have a good fight.”

“Beautiful, I’m back again!”

Tang Long grinned at the young woman who had handed him the coupon earlier and said with a warm smile.

Ya Jing blinked, her lips curving into a sweet smile. “Is it to take people from Fish Head Village to collect the coupons?”

She gave Jiang Xue a quick once-over, assuming the visitor would bring a dozen or so people. She hadn’t expected just one.

“Right!” Tang Long laughed. “Didn’t you say people from Fish Head Village can get two coupons each?”

Ya Jing’s eyes sparkled. She smiled charmingly. “This young lady is so pretty. I can privately give you a few extra coupons.”

“Wow, beautiful treatment like that?” Tang Long glanced at Jiang Xue, who flushed crimson.

Jiang Xue’s mind spun. She had no interest in visiting the Flower Fish Head Resort, so why would she need any coupons?

“Besides, it’s not just one pretty young lady. We have two more buses waiting, roughly two hundred guests!” Tang Long finished with a knowing smile, watching the receptionist’s reaction with keen interest.

Two hundred people?

Ya Jing’s eyes grew rounder. Those long lashes fluttered as she blinked in surprise. She wasn’t easily startled!

As for the situation at Fish Head Village, the big sister had already briefed her before they arrived. Every day a group of city university students came to play, though no one knew their origin.

At Jiang Xue’s age, Ya Jing quickly guessed their connection.

“Can’t we take them?” Tang Long asked with a grin.

Ya Jing snapped back to herself, beaming happily. “Of course we can! Why not? Regular tourists can claim them, and the guests you bring can claim even more!”

She winked and added, “Still, whether we can give two is up to our manager. You know I’m just a small employee.” She paused, then rushed on, “But each of you can definitely receive at least one coupon!”

The girl was delightfully lively, cute as a button, and could hold her own against Zhao Xiaoyue back in the village.

Tang Long nodded, smiling. “Go ahead and contact them. I’ll speak with your manager. By the way, I have a few personal matters to discuss.”

Personal matters?

Noticing the puzzled look in the girl’s eyes, Tang Long introduced himself with a chuckle. “I’m the village chief of Fish Head Village. Your manager should be happy to talk to me.”

“You’re the village chief of Fish Head Village?” Ya Jing’s eyes widened, mouth opening in genuine shock.

Tang Long shrugged, teasing, “What? Too handsome, so I don’t look the part?”

“…” Ya Jing burst into soft giggles.

Jiang Xue couldn’t help muttering under her breath, “Thick-skinned!”

She had assumed Tang Long was taking her to cause trouble, but it turned out otherwise. That eased the knot in her chest, though a trace of disappointment lingered.

Ya Jing picked up the walkie-talkie and called the manager, Jiang Xiu Zhi. “Big sister, the Fish Head Village big boss wants to chat with you. He’s standing right here beside me!”

Fish Head Village big boss?

Jiang Xiu Zhi froze for a second, then quickly composed herself. The influx of tourists had spiked in recent days, pressuring both Fish Head Village and the Flower Fish Head Resort. She had been running since dawn without a moment to rest, her voice nearly hoarse.

“Okay, hand the walkie-talkie to him!” Jiang Xiu Zhi’s voice came through.

Tang Long recognized the tone. He had met her yesterday, even if only briefly. Still, the prolonged conversation with Zhang Xiu E left an impression.

“Manager Jiang, long time no see!” Tang Long took the device and greeted her warmly.

Jiang Xiu Zhi frowned and moved to a quieter corner, curiosity sharpening her tone. “You know me?”

“Met just a couple of days ago,” Tang Long replied with a chuckle.

“Really?” Jiang Xiu Zhi sounded doubtful. “Then I must be mistaken. I don’t recall you at all.”

She paused, then added, “Though I’m quite familiar with Xiu E from Fish Head Village.”

“That explains it!”

Tang Long didn’t bother with further explanation. He glanced at the girl watching him curiously and said, “Here’s the thing. The distance between Fish Head Village and the Flower Fish Head Resort is close. With the current wave of visitors, even our small village alone can’t handle them. Would you be interested in joining forces to welcome this group?”

Joining forces?

Ya Jing blinked in surprise, and even Jiang Xue, listening intently, looked stunned. She hadn’t expected the Fish Head Village big boss to be the first to suggest cooperation.

This outcome was utterly unexpected!

In Jiang Xue’s mind, the Flower Fish Head Resort and Fish Head Village were supposed to be rivals, not allies. The resort was blatantly stealing business.

Bigger patterns, bigger worlds.

“I feel the same way,” Jiang Xiu Zhi replied with a gentle laugh. “Do you have time, Tang big brother? Shall we discuss it face to face?”

Tang Long had no objection. This was exactly what he wanted. “Of course. I’ll come to the resort later and speak in detail with Manager Jiang.”

Jiang Xiu Zhi smiled sweetly. “Looking forward to it!”

The brief call ended.

“Thank you. Oh, I still don’t know your name,” Tang Long handed the walkie-talkie back and asked with a smile.

“I’m Ya Jing. Very pleased to meet you, Tang big brother!” Ya Jing extended her hand gracefully.

Tang Long shook it, finding her touch soft and warm.

Jiang Xue watched with a pout. He really was shameless. For some reason, she disliked his flirtatious attitude toward the girl.

“I’ll head to your resort to chat with your big sister first. See you later!” Tang Long bid them farewell with a grin.

Ya Jing blinked and waved cheerfully. “See you later!”
