Lin Fan knew this was not the time for such thoughts, so he quickened his pace to rendezvous with Zhang Lei and the others. With Li Nanxing already rescued, Lin Fan no longer had any constraints.

Along the way, he effortlessly dispatched several patrol guards. They crumpled to the ground like dead dogs, their throats crushed. Lin Fan made no attempt to hide the bodies; there was no need. Whatever the reason, those who dared to lay a hand on the brothers of the Death God faced only one outcome: death.

As soon as Lin Fan stepped into the location where the drugs were hidden, two guns were immediately pressed against his forehead. "Damn it, it's me!" Lin Fan said.

The two Dragon Soul brothers quickly recognized Lin Fan and lowered their weapons. "Boss, did you find Nanxing?" Zhang Lei asked.

"Yes, he is with Mo Fei now. I sent them to assist Qiangzi and Qianxing in dealing with the scum at the North Gate." Lin Fan felt not a shred of sympathy for those who trafficked drugs into China; these people were a waste of space, and beyond calling them human scum, Lin Fan could think of no other name for them.

"Bang! Bang..." Deafening explosions echoed continuously outside. Lin Fan knew the two sides had engaged in combat.

With a cold snort, a look of disdain flashed in Lin Fan's eyes. The men of Dragon Soul possessed exceptional individual combat skills, and with Xu Qiang providing cover as a sniper, along with the rocket launchers provided by Jin Zhengyang, the enemy's several dozen men were nowhere near enough to pose a threat.

Initially, Lin Fan had forbidden the use of firearms for fear of an ambush, as gunfire would alert the enemy. However, the sudden appearance of the mysterious man in black made him realize that this incident likely had ties to the Purgatory Angel. This Scorpion was likely being used as a pawn. Since the man in black had already left, only one word remained: "Kill." As for the Purgatory Angel, Lin Fan would make sure to settle the score with them when the time came.

Scorpion was lying comfortably on his bed, embracing his two women, when suddenly, the air was filled with the continuous sound of gunfire and the explosions of rocket launchers. The entire house trembled. As a seasoned drug lord, Scorpion had seen his fair share of conflict. He immediately realized he was under attack, scrambled to put on his clothes, grabbed his pistol, and rushed outside.

Xu Qiang had fired two more rockets, turning the exterior into a sea of flames. Most of Scorpion’s men lay on the ground, half-dead, and the entire scene was in chaos.

By now, Lin Fan, Zhang Lei, Mo Fei, Li Nanxing, and Ren Qianxing, along with several other Dragon Soul brothers, were closing in from different directions. Xu Qiang provided support with his long-range sniper rifle, sending bullets that seemed to fly straight from hell into the hearts of their enemies.

Seeing the carnage, Scorpion cursed furiously, "Quick! Quick! Return fire!" The guards who had been standing watch were already mostly taken out by Xu Qiang and the others. Hearing the commotion, more men rushed out of the house wielding weapons, but they were unable to determine where the enemy was. Before they could act, they were either headshot by Xu Qiang or had their necks snapped by Lin Fan and his men. Blood soon stained the earth, and rivers of it flowed wherever Lin Fan’s group passed.

Watching his men fall one by one, Scorpion assumed the government had sent people to apprehend him. As a major drug lord who frequently sold narcotics across various borders, he had plenty of blood on his hands. No longer caring about the identity of his attackers, Scorpion rushed back into the house and began stuffing money from his recent drug deals into a duffel bag, grabbing several bank cards as well. The situation was lost; if he didn't flee now, he would surely lose his life.

The gunfire began to thin. The dozens of patrol guards and those who had rushed out of the house were nearly wiped out. A breeze carried the pungent scent of blood through the air. No one felt sympathy for this human scum who trafficked drugs and poisoned China; they deserved to die. Inside the house, Scorpion grabbed his duffel bag and a pistol, then ran toward the exit.

However, his two women lunged at him, grabbing his legs and begging him to take them with him. A drug dealer has no room for such soft-heartedness; ruthlessness was second nature to him. With a cold, sinister look, Scorpion didn't hesitate to fire two shots into the head of one of the women. The other, terrified, released his ankle and scrambled backward in a panic.

Scorpion snorted, raised his weapon toward the second woman, and fired two more shots without a moment’s hesitation. Watching his women collapse to the ground, blood spilling from their lips, Scorpion felt no guilt or anxiety, as if he had merely disposed of two troublesome pieces of livestock.

When Scorpion emerged from the house, he was struck with horror. His men were all lying dead on the ground, and the air was thick with the smell of blood. Standing before him were six men, one of whom was Li Nanxing, the man he had captured. Scorpion realized that the revenge of Dragon Soul had arrived. How fast! Faced with the men of Dragon Soul, Scorpion was at a loss, his hand trembling as he gripped his pistol.

"Boss, that's him! That’s Scorpion," Li Nanxing said, his voice filled with killing intent.

Tan Zhiyong had already sent over Scorpion’s files, so Lin Fan recognized him immediately. He scanned the man coldly and began to walk forward slowly.

Lin Fan’s steps were measured. With every stride, Scorpion’s heart lurched. His palm, gripping the gun, was slick with sweat. The pressure Lin Fan exerted was immense; his footsteps sounded like the ticking of a countdown to death, shattering Scorpion’s psychological defenses.

He could tell that Lin Fan was the leader. If a handful of men could wipe out his entire gang, he knew he was doomed. But he didn't want to die, so he decided to take a gamble. He gripped his pistol tightly—this was his only chance. If he could take Lin Fan hostage, he might have a chance to walk away alive.

He regretted everything now. If he had known, he never would have been so greedy as to accept the demands of that man in black, which had ultimately brought total annihilation upon his organization.

Idealism is beautiful, but reality is often cruel. As if seeing right through him, Lin Fan’s lips curled into a cold, disdainful smirk. "Don't bother trying what you're thinking," he said. "You will never succeed."

If Lin Fan hadn't spoken, it might have been better, but his words caused Scorpion to suddenly raise his pistol, pointing it at Lin Fan. "Don't come any closer! Don't you come any closer!" Everyone present could see his hand shaking violently, clearly buckling under the invisible pressure...
