Tech Overlord Reincarnation fades into emptiness. 2247 words 2026-03-19 13:52:33

After 2 p.m., all the lights in the venue went out. On the large screen, the first thing to appear was the logo of Futurist Technology—a sleek apple with a small bite taken out of it. The logo faded, immediately replaced by the words, “Futurist Technology 2000 New Product Launch.” Then, the screen jumped straight to the company's product launch video.

The video was made by Mo Tian, borrowing Lin Feng’s body, and it highlighted the clean, minimalist, and high-end design of Futurist Technology’s computer. The video presented a 360-degree, flawless showcase, introducing every aspect of the computer, inside and out.

“Wow! That’s beautiful!” Everyone in the audience couldn’t help but exclaim as they watched the video. While they’d seen Futurist Technology’s advertisements before, nothing compared to the visual impact of this presentation. Onscreen, the computer booted up automatically, and in less than ten seconds, the system reached the operating interface. At this point, a person in the video leaned towards the webcam, which immediately activated, performed a scan, and only then allowed entry into the operating system.

The video quickly moved on to showcase the computer’s latest features, including some not previously announced, such as facial recognition. Throughout the video, a staff member continued to adjust the computer’s settings, fine-tuning it to their personal preference.

Only then did the reporters in the audience remember their duties, hurriedly raising their cameras to start taking photos.

Meanwhile, countless people following the launch online were also stunned by the introduction video. Many left messages stating that, based on its design and the fact that it was developed by their compatriots, they were eager to buy this computer.

The video continued, detailing the computer’s security, the perfect integration of hardware and software, and the impressive battery life. Every aspect was meticulously explained.

The video lasted a full thirty minutes. When it finally ended, the lights in the venue came back on, and three new computers with different configurations were displayed at the front.

The reporters, upon seeing the actual products, grew excited and began snapping pictures. At this moment, Lin Feng walked to the front. Initially, he hadn’t wanted to go on stage, but Mo Tian had convinced him that such a high-profile moment was a chance to be remembered by beautiful women—not to be missed. So Lin Feng had immediately volunteered.

The reporters were astonished to see Lin Feng, the notorious good-for-nothing son from Zhahai, step forward as the spokesperson. They quickly raised their cameras, eager to capture the moment.

“Good afternoon, everyone! I’m delighted you could come to my event, and even happier to meet you all in this way instead of because of some scandal.” Lin Feng began by thanking the reporters as he stepped into the center of the stage.

The audience—both reporters and other attendees—burst into laughter.

“First of all,” Lin Feng continued, “whether you know me or not, allow me to introduce myself. I am Lin Feng, founder of Futurist Technology.”

Those watching in person or via video could not suppress their exclamations of shock. No one could have imagined that such an impressive company was founded by Lin Feng, the infamous wastrel. If they hadn’t seen the tangible products before them, they’d have thought it was an April Fool’s joke.

Before the launch, the reporters had tried to interview people from Futurist Technology, but weren’t permitted. Today, discovering that Lin Feng was the owner left them electrified—what a sensational headline!

“Today’s product launch is to introduce a new series of laptops,” Lin Feng announced. “Many people have questioned our capabilities online, asking how we could possibly develop a new operating system. Let me respond now: we own one hundred percent of the intellectual property for our operating system. It belongs solely to Futurist Technology. As you’ve just seen, our OS is intelligent, user-friendly, and runs smoothly without demanding high specs. CPU usage is extremely low, and paired with our hardware, the performance is flawless. From now on, our company will only sell computers; the OS will not be sold separately.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the reporters eagerly raised their microphones, hoping to ask about pricing and where they could buy the computers.

“Our computers, as you’ve seen from the high-end configurations and performance, are priced accordingly. The high-end model is 10,000 per unit, the mid-range is 9,000, and the entry-level is 8,000. They will be sold exclusively through our official website—no physical stores, and no domestic distributors for now,” Lin Feng replied with a smile.

The reporters were astounded at the prices, which were higher than most top-tier brands on the market, let alone local brands whose prices didn’t even compare.

“I know you think the price is high and doubt our company’s prospects in the PC industry. I won’t argue. I believe the market will prove everything. After the event, we’ll have hundreds of computers available for hands-on testing. If you’re interested, please try them out before making a decision. Also, our official website will open for orders at 8 p.m. tonight. Please support us—thank you!” Lin Feng bowed in thanks and quickly exited the stage.

Seeing Lin Feng about to leave, the reporters rushed to surround him, hoping for a private interview.

“I’m truly sorry, everyone, but there’s much to do today. In a few days, we’ll hold another press conference dedicated to answering your questions, all right?” Lin Feng said with a smile, then was escorted backstage by company staff.

“Lin Feng, your phone’s been ringing nonstop—I didn’t dare answer it!” Xia Ruoxi handed Lin Feng his phone.

“Thank you, I understand. Please take some of the marketing team to the demo area and introduce our products to the reporters so they can share more positive coverage,” Lin Feng replied with a gentle smile.
