When Lin Feng regained control of his body, he saw that Mo Tian had used it to uncover some damaging information about Microsoft and had left it displayed on the computer desktop. Looking over the material, Lin Feng’s face curled into a cold, sinister smile. He could already imagine Microsoft being driven into a frantic mess by the revelations.

Because of the time difference, it was still daytime in America. Bill was sitting in the chairman’s office at Microsoft headquarters, a smile on his face as he fantasized about Lin Feng coming to apologize. He was already imagining all the ways he would humiliate Lin Feng in return for the insult he had suffered.

Bill had never considered whether Lin Feng might refuse to cooperate. In his mind, the Chinese government would certainly pressure Future Technology to hand over the rights to its product technology as a compromise. Even less had he imagined that Lin Feng would dare to fight back.

The next morning, Lin Feng did not go downstairs for breakfast. Xia Ruoxi had lost her appetite because of the trouble with Microsoft. She did not eat a bite before leaving for work.

Lin Feng was in his room, staring at the stock data displayed on his computer. He lifted his hand and tapped several keys on the laptop. Soon, a chart showing Microsoft’s stock movements for the day appeared on the screen.

At that moment, Mo Tian, unable to bear the loneliness inside Lin Feng’s jade pendant, appeared beside him to observe the data.

“Mo Tian, just look at this perfectly flat line. Soon, our move will turn it into a spectacular storm. I almost feel sorry for it already,” Lin Feng said to Mo Tian, who stood beside him.

Yet, judging by the smug expression on Lin Feng’s face, Mo Tian could not detect even the slightest trace of pity.

“You’re really enjoying yourself,” Mo Tian said, casting him a disdainful glance. “What’s your plan? Release last night’s information directly, or…”

“Heh, we should play with them a little first. If we cripple them with a single move, it won’t be any fun.” Lin Feng already held victory in his hands. He was not worried in the least; instead, he spoke as though he were searching for entertainment.

For once, Lin Feng had hit the nail on the head. Mo Tian surprisingly did not mock him. Instead, he nodded excitedly from the side. Apparently, the two of them truly shared the same vicious taste for mischief.

If Bill had known what was happening in Lin Feng’s room, and that his company’s secrets had fallen into Lin Feng’s hands, he would probably have flown from America to China to beg for mercy. Unfortunately, Bill knew nothing.

After chatting idly with Mo Tian for a while, Lin Feng made his move. He used the same method he had previously employed against the Lin and Wang families of Yanjing when they had tried to seize Future Technology. This time, however, he played much more aggressively and openly.

He poured all the money Xia Ruoxi had given him into the stock market in one go, buying low and selling high. His sole purpose was to target Microsoft’s stock and drive its price downward.

Lin Feng’s brazen operation, backed by enormous funds and launched with overwhelming force, immediately alarmed Microsoft’s financial department. The head of the department sensed that something was wrong and promptly reported it to the board.

Bill arrived soon after hearing the news. The first thing he did upon entering Microsoft’s financial department was to shout at the department head, “Who is it? Who dares to challenge Microsoft in the stock market?”

“Chairman, please don’t worry. The other party is trying to drive down our stock price through aggressive buying and selling, but their plan has failed! They’re buying in large quantities, but their bids are too low. They haven’t gained anything after all this time. I refuse to believe our shareholders are foolish enough to sell their shares at such a low price. Our stock price is therefore perfectly stable!”

Seeing Bill’s furious expression, the head of the financial department hurriedly reported the good news.

Bill was not pleased. He stared at the man and demanded, “Did you not understand me? I asked who did this!”

“Well… we don’t know exactly who is behind it. We only know that the money came in from China.”

The moment he heard that the funds had come from China, Bill immediately guessed who was attacking his company. The face of that person surfaced in his mind, and Bill left the financial department with a cold expression.

As he walked away, he continued muttering to himself. Anyone standing close enough would have heard Lin Feng’s name repeated again and again. If Lin Feng had appeared before him at that moment, Bill was certain he would have fought him to the death.

Lin Feng’s high-profile attack on Microsoft had not only caught Bill off guard. It had also shocked many of the Yanjing families who had been waiting to watch Lin Feng make a fool of himself.

In the Wang family of Yanjing, Wang Man learned in the study that Lin Feng had launched an attack against Microsoft. Forgetting that he was in the old master’s study, he cried out in alarm, “Is Lin Feng insane?”

In the Murong family, Murong Xue was equally confused by Lin Feng’s actions. Then, as though she had suddenly thought of something else, she began to smile. It seemed she could already see Lin Feng’s downfall.

Excited and taking obvious pleasure in his misfortune, she said to Old Master Murong, “He has no other options. He’s just putting up a pointless struggle.”

“That’s right. Xue’er is right,” Murong Wenwu said, taking his daughter’s side and using the opportunity to belittle Lin Feng. “You shouldn’t think so highly of him. He isn’t invincible. In fact, I think he may not even be as clever as our Xue’er! Apart from being somewhat strong in personal combat, all Lin Feng has is good luck and a Future Technology company that somehow fell into his hands.”

In the end, Old Master Murong could no longer stand listening to the self-satisfied father and daughter boasting in the study. With a dark expression, he drove them both out.

Unfortunately, neither Murong Wenwu nor Murong Xue realized that they were the ones who had made a mistake.

Compared with Bill’s fury and the unrest among the great families of Yanjing, Lin Feng was entirely at ease. He was brewing Cloud Mist tea in his room, taking a sip now and then while occasionally glancing at the computer screen. From time to time, he chatted idly with Mo Tian.

A pleasant ringtone from the desk interrupted their conversation.

Lin Feng casually set down his cup and picked up the mobile phone he had long since forgotten. When he saw the number displayed on the screen, he discovered that the call was coming from overseas.

A mysterious smile appeared on Lin Feng’s face. He naturally knew who would be willing to make an international call to him at such a time. Who else could it be but Bill from Microsoft?

Still, Lin Feng did not reject the call. He pressed the answer button.

“Lin Feng, you want to play games, is that it? Do you really think you can take on Microsoft? Keep dreaming!”

The moment the call connected and Lin Feng placed the phone against his ear, Bill’s furious abuse came roaring through the receiver.

Although Bill’s voice was vicious, Lin Feng was not angry. Instead, he teased him, “What rabid dog is this? Why did you start biting people the moment you got through?”

With that, Lin Feng hung up without giving Bill a chance to respond.

“Hahahaha! Do you think Bill is angry enough to smash the phone in his hand?” The moment he ended the call, Lin Feng collapsed back into his chair, laughing so hard that he clutched his aching stomach as he asked Mo Tian.

He had expected Mo Tian to mock him for being childish, but Mo Tian joined in instead. With great seriousness, he nodded and said, “If I were him, I’d smash the phone. At his age, he might even suffer a heart attack or burst a blood vessel from the shock.”

Lin Feng stared at Mo Tian’s spirit form in astonishment, then gave him an enthusiastic thumbs-up. This time, he was genuinely impressed.

Mo Tian treated the gesture as sarcasm and ignored him. After a moment, however, he asked, “Aren’t you afraid that provoking him will drive him into a corner and make him use some underhanded trick against you?”

“Heh, he won’t have time to think about dealing with me. What’s about to happen to his company will be more than enough to keep him busy. If he can handle his own company’s crisis, he’ll be doing well. How could he still have time to bother with me?”

Mo Tian’s eyes lit up. He looked at Lin Feng excitedly. “You mean…”

“Bingo. That’s exactly what I mean!” Lin Feng interrupted before he could finish.

“Hahaha! This is going to be fun. I love watching things like this unfold!” Mo Tian roared with laughter.

Naturally, the hacking would require Mo Tian’s assistance. Lin Feng was just about to relinquish control of his body when he suddenly added, “Don’t release both pieces of information at once. Start with the tax evasion scandal. Once Microsoft’s public-relations team has nearly finished dealing with that, release the even more explosive information. Then we’ll see whether they can still act so arrogant.”

Mo Tian could hardly wait. He gave Lin Feng a hurried, perfunctory reply before swiftly forcing Lin Feng’s consciousness out of his body. He took control at once and began hammering away at the keyboard on the desk.

Far away in America, Bill reacted exactly as Lin Feng and Mo Tian had expected. When Lin Feng called him a rabid dog, Bill exploded. He shouted furiously into the phone for a long time before realizing that the other party had already hung up. All his abuse had been wasted.

In a fit of rage, he smashed the phone in his hand onto the floor. It was the only solid-gold phone in the world, decorated with diamonds. Bill treasured it more than anything. Aside from him, no one in his family was even allowed to touch it.

Yet now he had smashed it himself. That alone showed how thoroughly Lin Feng had enraged him.

Even after destroying the phone, Bill was not satisfied. Anything within reach was picked up and hurled across the room. As he smashed everything around him, he cursed Lin Feng furiously.

“You bastard! I will never let this go. Just wait. You’d better wait!”
