Lin Feng did not share Zhao Ze’s mindset at that moment. He glanced around the hall to confirm there were no survivors before lifting his leg and starting to walk out. As he moved, he instructed Zhao Ze behind him, “Set it on fire. Make as much noise as possible to cover our retreat!”

Hearing this, Zhao Ze immediately became excited. Such acts of arson and murder were absolutely forbidden in China, and even when he was a soldier, he never dared to imagine doing something like this. But now, following Lin Feng, all of these things were within reach.

Standing at the entrance of the Island Organization’s headquarters, Lin Feng watched the flames grow larger inside. After a long while, Zhao Ze appeared before him, grinning broadly, clearly pleased with himself.

“Is it done?” Lin Feng asked Zhao Ze, who had just arrived.

“Hehe, Young Master Lin, it’s all handled. Following you is truly exhilarating. Next time there’s a chance to bring honor to our country, you must take me along again!” Zhao Ze said with great satisfaction.

Seeing Zhao Ze’s violent enthusiasm, Lin Feng shook his head silently, choosing not to respond further. He simply continued walking forward. Zhao Ze hurried to keep pace, leaving behind the raging inferno at the Island Organization’s headquarters.

After walking for quite some time, putting a good distance between themselves and the Island Organization’s base, Zhao Ze asked Lin Feng with some confusion, “Young Master Lin, what’s our next move?”

“First, we find the captain of that assault team. Then I’ll cover you while you return to the country with him. After that, it’s just me settling the score with the Iga family,” Lin Feng said as he walked, revealing his plan to Zhao Ze.

“Ah! In that case, Young Master Lin, I’ll stay and help you deal with the Iga family!” Zhao Ze hurried ahead to block Lin Feng’s path, earnestly pleading.

“No. You don’t have internal energy; your endurance can’t keep up with mine. It’s better if I go alone. With my strength, I’m confident no one can stop me. But if I bring you along as a burden, things could get complicated,” Lin Feng rejected Zhao Ze’s request without hesitation, delivering a harsh blow.

Zhao Ze was left speechless, unable to find any argument. Defeated, he lowered his head in frustration, vowing to train harder once back home and develop his internal energy as soon as possible.

Seeing Zhao Ze finally quiet and no longer wishing to stay, Lin Feng asked, “Do you know where the temporary captain of the assault team said the place is?”

“Yes, Young Master Lin, I know. I’ll take you there right now,” Zhao Ze responded quickly, raising his head after initially keeping it down.

“Good. Then lead the way!” Lin Feng said, stepping past Zhao Ze and heading forward. Zhao Ze quickly caught up.

The sun beat down fiercely along their journey. Neither Lin Feng nor Zhao Ze wanted to walk on foot, but there were no cars in this suburban area. Finally, Zhao Ze casually commandeered a vehicle by the roadside and drove them toward the assault team captain’s location.

Lin Feng sat quietly in the car, curiously watching Zhao Ze behind the wheel. The more he interacted with Zhao Ze, the more fascinated he became. Zhao Ze could speak multiple languages and could casually appropriate a car—he truly possessed many skills for navigating the world.

Zhao Ze sensed Lin Feng’s gaze and felt uneasy. After a while, he cautiously asked, “Young Master Lin, do I have something on my face?”

Lin Feng burst into laughter at Zhao Ze’s awkward expression. Sitting in the passenger seat, he rubbed his belly from laughing and reassured him, “It’s nothing. I was just wondering if every soldier is as impressive as you. Your car-stealing skills—did you learn that in the military, too?”

Zhao Ze finally understood Lin Feng’s joke but was careful not to say he actually learned it in the military. If that got out, his old commanders might kill him.

“It’s not from the military, Young Master Lin. I just figured it out when I was bored in civilian life. Tried it today, turns out it’s pretty useful!” Zhao Ze answered nervously.

Lin Feng saw how flustered Zhao Ze was and stopped teasing him. “Haha, just kidding. No need to be nervous.”

Relieved, Zhao Ze exhaled deeply.

With the car, they soon arrived at the abandoned building the temporary assault team captain had mentioned. They stopped and entered together. Inside, scattered construction tools and materials left by workers were everywhere, accompanied by a faint but pungent chemical smell from the construction materials.

Zhao Ze wrinkled his nose and covered it as he looked around. “Young Master Lin, how could anyone be here? Are you sure this is the right place?”

Lin Feng ignored him, quietly activating his internal energy, sensing the atmosphere in the area. Suddenly, he detected a faint breath coming from a small corner. Zhao Ze couldn’t hear it, but Lin Feng’s heightened senses caught it.

“Ten o’clock to the left!” Lin Feng suddenly shouted to Zhao Ze.

Zhao Ze, also trained in the Overlord Technique but without internal energy yet, reacted quickly. Upon hearing Lin Feng, he immediately launched an attack. The person hiding in the corner was caught off guard and hadn’t even moved when Zhao Ze was upon him.

Xie Ming had been unlucky recently. He thought leading the team to the island to hunt down members of the Iga family would be a simple task. But shortly after arriving, they were ambushed by island organization members. Thanks to his comrades’ cover, he escaped alone. He had been hiding in this desolate, forsaken secret place for a day, unable to contact home. Now, to his dismay, someone had found him. He thought he had hidden well but had no idea how they discovered his location.

Just as Xie Ming prepared to move, a figure suddenly approached and attacked.

Though he didn’t know who the attacker was, Xie Ming was the captain of the Falcon Assault Team and had some skill. Seeing the opponent immediately use a military grappling technique, clearly aiming to capture him alive, Xie Ming was not willing to yield. Assuming the attacker was a top agent from the island, he countered with all his strength, using military combat boxing against the attacker’s moves.

Zhao Ze anticipated surrender but was surprised by Xie Ming’s resistance. He then unleashed his full power, intensifying his attacks.

The two instantly engaged in fierce hand-to-hand combat. Lin Feng watched on the sidelines, clearly curious to see the strength of the Falcon Assault Team captain.

Although Xie Ming was powerful enough to rank high in the domestic army, this time he faced someone like Lin Feng, who had trained in martial arts. Even though Zhao Ze lacked internal energy, he had been trained by Lin Feng and possessed complementary techniques.

Under Zhao Ze’s relentless and brutal assault, Xie Ming couldn’t hold out beyond thirty moves before being subdued. Zhao Ze seized both of Xie Ming’s hands and executed a shoulder throw, flinging him before Lin Feng.

Following closely behind, Zhao Ze stood next to Lin Feng, looking at the man lying on the ground. “Young Master Lin, is this the person we’re looking for?”

Before Lin Feng could speak, Xie Ming, hearing their conversation in Chinese, shouted loudly, “What the hell? You’re Chinese? Not from the island? What the hell is going on?”

“Hehe, Young Master Lin, he’s speaking Chinese, so it’s definitely him. No mistake,” Zhao Ze teased Lin Feng again upon hearing Xie Ming.

“Are you the grandson of Old Master Xie? He asked me to come find you!” Lin Feng ignored Zhao Ze’s teasing, crouching down to look at Xie Ming.

Upon hearing that the other man claimed to have been sent by his grandfather, Xie Ming excitedly got to his feet. Though Zhao Ze had thrown him from a distance, Xie Ming had used technique to absorb the force before landing. Though he looked disheveled, he was unharmed.

Standing up, Xie Ming was thrilled. Being alone and isolated in a foreign land, having help from home was a great blessing. Yet he remained cautious and asked Lin Feng, “You say you were sent by my grandfather? Do you have proof?”

Hearing such a foolish question, Lin Feng lost his temper. He looked at Xie Ming in disbelief and said, “Damn it, Old Master Xie is so clever. How did he end up with such an idiot in the family? If I weren’t the reinforcements your grandfather sent, I would’ve killed you already. Why waste so much time talking? Are you going to come or not?”

After saying this sharply, Lin Feng rubbed his forehead and headed outside, eager to leave. He seemed genuinely frustrated.

Seeing Lin Feng storm off, Zhao Ze chuckled at Xie Ming, then gave two thumbs up. To be able to anger Young Master Lin like that and not get beaten up was rare. Zhao Ze was somewhat impressed by this guy.

After teasing Xie Ming a bit more, Zhao Ze turned and hurried to catch up with Lin Feng, leaving a stunned Xie Ming behind. He still hadn’t fully grasped what had happened, nor realized how foolish he sounded. All he knew was that the men claimed to be his grandfather’s reinforcements and then just left.

But now, Xie Ming had no doubts. He truly believed they were sent by his grandfather. Brushing the dust off his clothes, he hurriedly followed after Lin Feng and Zhao Ze.
