Chapter 83: Manually Unleashing Frenzy
It is well known that mages have extremely weak physiques and could never be a match for warriors! Yet the speed Chen Mo displayed—his reaction time, movement, and the swiftness of his punches—was even more warrior-like than a true warrior.
Moon Fox frowned; for a moment, she felt Chen Mo overlapped with a terrifying figure from her memory. But on closer inspection, there were differences—perhaps she was simply overthinking it.
Chen Mo’s fists were like a raging storm—no, even faster than a storm!
Wu Chen was utterly stunned; dear heavens, is he really a mage?
Gritting his teeth, Wu Chen pushed his attack speed to the absolute limit.
The sound of his sword slicing through the air was deafening. The ground shattered beneath their feet, battered and broken!
Yet, despite this frenzied blade dance, Chen Mo, left with only a sliver of armor, remained composed. Within the storm of swords, he moved like a nimble fish, deftly weaving and dodging, often escaping deadly blows at impossibly twisted angles. It was as though he had rehearsed every move in advance—Wu Chen’s sword hadn’t even struck, and Chen Mo had already slipped out of reach!
Wu Chen wasn’t a fool; he sensed his opponent possessed some unique ability to anticipate his attack directions. If so, he would change tactics!
A straight slash turned into a diagonal cut.
A diagonal cut became an upward thrust.
A downward chop morphed into a sweeping strike!
Wu Chen’s battle instincts were impeccable: he grew stronger when faced with power, and could even mimic his opponent’s techniques on the fly!
Yet, every sword technique he used still lagged a step behind! Chen Mo’s body seemed mechanical—whenever Wu Chen changed, Chen Mo changed faster!
Fourfold Flame Fist!
Chen Mo applied a warrior’s skill to his magic gauntlets, combining it with the rapid strikes of Jeet Kune Do. It was like a violent storm, relentless and overwhelming.
Although Wu Chen’s shield absorbed some damage, it couldn’t stop Chen Mo’s fists from punching through and landing squarely on his face.
Left hook, rear hook, Wind and Fire Fist!
Wu Chen’s face was bruised and swollen; his shield was shattered, leaving him with only the last thread of armor.
The students in the stands had never imagined Jeet Kune Do could be so powerful! Many had studied it themselves, but only as a supplementary technique. They never expected Chen Mo would use it as his main attack—and to such astonishing effect!
"Sheng Mo, what do you think?" Young Master Wei squinted, a smile tugging at his lips.
"What do I think? Hell if I know! Chen Mo is truly a genius, being able to fuse Jeet Kune Do with magic. Why didn’t I think of that? Maybe I should buy a magic gauntlet and give it a try." Zhang Sheng Mo watched as Chen Mo made traditional martial arts so formidable—he was both jealous and awed. Coming from a family of martial arts, they’d trained since childhood, mastering Southern Fist, Northern Leg, Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Shaolin Arhat, Wudang Sword—yet somehow, they weren’t as strong as a mere ordinary person. How could he not feel envy?
Capital City, Evolution Center.
"Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Jeet Kune Do paired with those magic gauntlets is a perfect match! Not only that, but Shaolin Fist, Hong Fist—any boxing style, combined with magic gauntlets, can unleash the essence of traditional martial arts! I must have this student! Not even the Emperor can compete with me!" Thunder Tian, the commander of the Shadow Legion, was so excited he nearly leapt through the screen to drag Chen Mo out.
Leng Qian sneered, "Weren’t you after Wu Chen? Take him—I’ll claim Chen Mo. Today, for Chen Mo’s sake, I’ll play the Emperor and see what you do!"
"You! Fine! Old Leng, looks like you don’t want the gene enhancement fluid next month!" Thunder Tian threatened. The Evolution Center was mainly managed by the Shadow Legion, so they controlled the distribution of gene enhancement fluids.
Leng Qian stroked his dyed yellow beard, fuming, "Well done, Thunder Tian! You dare threaten me? Fine! Chen Mo is ours, the White Clouds and Wild Dogs will take him. Let’s see if you dare cut off our enhancement fluids!"
…
Humiliation! The greatest humiliation imaginable!
This was, without question, the greatest disgrace Wu Chen had ever suffered in his life!
A layer of black mist emanated from Wu Chen, and behind him, a ghostly visage appeared, baring its fangs in a terrifying, sinister grin!
"What is that?"
"I don’t know why, but I feel a chill all over!"
The students in the stands watched Wu Chen, shrouded in black mist, and felt a wave of panic.
Even Instructor Moon Fox was startled by Wu Chen’s demonic visage; a terrifying power was surging and growing. As a mage, Moon Fox’s meditation exceeded sixty, giving her heightened perception—she could sense Wu Chen’s power increasing exponentially. Not only did it surpass her own, it was even more terrifying than the star-ranked White Clouds members she remembered!
Moon Fox tried to intervene: "Wu Chen! What are you doing? Stop at once!"
"Hehehe!" Wu Chen’s cold laughter sent shivers down spines. "Chen Mo, you think your berserk transformation is impressive? I didn’t want to reveal my secret, but you’ve made me angry. Today, you must die!"
It turned out, aside from the death blade attribute, the Oblivion Set had a hidden property: when in extreme rage, it could trigger a secret familiar—Demonization!
Demonization allowed Wu Chen to transform into a demonic form!
The black mist surged, engulfing the entire gymnasium in oblivion! Students screamed in terror, their vision utterly lost—they couldn’t see a thing!
Even Moon Fox was forced back by the demonic aura. The center of the arena was completely encircled by Wu Chen; no one could approach!
"Hahaha! Chen Mo! There’s no escape for you today—no one can save you now!" Wu Chen’s body, once 1.7 meters tall, grew to a monstrous three meters! His skin turned pitch black; his eyes blazed red; two dreadful demon horns sprouted from his head, and the Oblivion Great Sword in his hand extended ten meters, serrated and exuding a terrifying black aura.
Chen Mo initiated a digital scan.

All data was inaccessible! Clearly, this demon’s level had surpassed Chen Mo’s intelligence system—he couldn’t analyze it.
Good heavens! Chen Mo had thought his hidden abilities were impressive enough, but he hadn’t expected another powerful, concealed figure in the school! Demonization! My word, this is too strong!
With such an aura, such a presence—you expect me to believe this is a high school student? He’s practically a dungeon boss!
Moon Fox tried to break through the oblivion mist, but couldn’t even get close.
"Calling! Calling! This is Moon Fox! All Shadow Warriors stationed at Pingli High School, I need your support! Hurry, hurry!"
Even the ever-composed Young Master Wei now showed rare panic.
Zhang Sheng Mo’s expression was grave. "Young Master Wei, what do we do? Should we intervene?"
Young Master Wei shook his head. "No need—even if we step in, we may not be a match for this demonized Wu Chen! Who would’ve thought the Oblivion Set had such a terrifying hidden property? Quick, buy up all the Oblivion Sets from the trading board!"
Zhang Sheng Mo gave a wry smile. "I already checked—there’s only one set!"
Boom!
A deafening crash—two huge holes appeared at the top of the stadium.
Wu Chen’s pitch-black demon wings unfurled. He seized Chen Mo by the neck, grinned wickedly, and flew out of the gymnasium!
"Brother!! Roar! Roar!!" Seeing Chen Mo taken, Ning Xuan’s beast persona burst forth. She linked the holes in the roof with an ice beam, forming a bridge, and raced across with murderous intent, hot on Wu Chen’s trail.
This abrupt crisis left everyone stunned and helpless.
Even the distant Shadow Legion and the White Clouds and Wild Dogs at the Evolution Center in the capital!
A full minute passed before Thunder Tian recovered: "Connect me to the Shadow Legion, Star City branch! Order Major Lin Feng to assemble the Shadow Warriors at once and provide support!"
