Master, I Can't Hold On Any Longer! Round and round. 2334 words 2026-02-09 11:46:22

"Well then, do you have an elder brother or someone like that? Have him come here, and I'll see if he can take you away." Jiang Chen intended to round them all up at once—perhaps he'd even help his wife boost her performance metrics.

Scarface was inwardly ecstatic but dared not show it on his face.

"R-really? I can call him?"

Scarface was confident that as long as his big brother showed up, no matter how tough this Jiang Chen was, he'd be forced to kneel and beg for mercy.

Soon, the call connected. The person on the other end simply said, "Got it," and hung up.

While they waited, Lin Mo arrived at the scene. When he saw what lay before him, his eyes widened in shock.

"Wait, bro, you did all this?" Lin Mo stared at the people sprawled across the ground.

Jiang Chen nodded. "Yes, it shouldn't be too bloody, right?"

Lin Mo felt a sudden urge to become Jiang Chen's apprentice. What teenage boy wouldn't be amazed by such a sight—especially when it was accomplished by someone his own age?

He knew about his sister borrowing money, and seeing someone stand up for her only made Jiang Chen rise higher in his estimation. How bad could someone be if they stood up for his sister?

Soon, a supercar pulled up in front of them. Two men got out: one from the driver's seat, and the other, dressed in a black suit, from the passenger's side. The latter looked very much like a bodyguard.

"Brother Tong, it's him! He's the one who won't let me collect the debt." Scarface crawled on his knees from in front of Jiang Chen to the man who had just arrived.

Tong Lu looked at his men lying on the ground, then sneered, "Kid, you can really fight. But you shouldn't have messed with me."

The more Jiang Chen looked at this guy, the more familiar he seemed. "You... you're their boss, aren't you?"

Tong Lu replied coldly, "Yes, but what does that have to do with you?"

Jiang Chen said indifferently, "Nothing, just wanted to make sure I won't hit the wrong guy later. Since you've admitted it yourself, I won't hold back."

"You'd better watch your mouth, kid. Do you know what cultivators are? No matter how good you are, you're just an ordinary person. The man beside me is a cultivator at the level of True Qi."

Having finished his introduction, Tong Lu saw Jiang Chen remain unfazed and realized the kid had no idea what he was up against.

Tong Lu sighed, deciding not to bother pretending anymore. "Forget it, explaining things to you is a waste of time. Let me sum it up for you: even if you trained for another hundred years, you still couldn't beat the man beside me. Got it?"

Jiang Chen shook his head. "What's all this nonsense? If you think you can handle me, come on then."

"Kid, I'll fold you up like a phone and leave you speechless," the man beside Tong Lu declared.

Jiang Chen rubbed his nose. "Please, by all means, kill me."

With a buzz, the man erupted in a cloud of smoke right where he stood, obscuring everything from view.

A second later, a piercing scream rang out. Tong Lu began to laugh, his face alight with glee.

But Scarface, still kneeling on the ground, didn't share his optimism. He recognized that scream—it wasn't that boy's, but rather his own comrades'.

Scarface trembled as the smoke cleared. The boy was still standing there, completely unharmed, his foot pressing down on Tong Lu's bodyguard.

"Is this the best you could find?" Jiang Chen remarked. The bodyguard lay on the ground, coughing up blood, his eyes full of terror and resentment—not toward Jiang Chen, but toward his own employer.

Boss, I came here to work, not to get myself killed. Why did you pit me against such a monster?

What kind of twisted matchmaking is this?

Tong Lu, not far away, was panicking. He had never imagined that this young man—barely eighteen—could so easily defeat a True Qi cultivator. Who would believe such a thing?

If the boy looked older, perhaps he wouldn't have been so shocked.

"Do your family, the Tongs, know about your criminal activities?" Jiang Chen asked, fixing him with a steely gaze.

Tong Lu was startled. "H-how do you know about the Tong family? Have you been investigating me?"

Jiang Chen shot him a glance. "Are you crazy? Why would I waste my time investigating you? I might look into some girls, but not a grown man like you."

He almost rolled his eyes but decided against it.

"What's your relationship with Tong Yan?" Jiang Chen pressed.

Tong Lu answered without hesitation, "She's my older sister. I'm her cousin."

Well, the mystery was solved.

Tong Yan was his sister, and Tong Wujie was his brother.

So, it was all in the family.

Jiang Chen was instantly filled with anger. If he didn't know these people, it would have been easy to deal with them. But since he did, it made things much more complicated.

Still, crime was crime—he would not show favoritism.

"Call your sister and your brother right now. Tell them to come here at once and say you're about to die," Jiang Chen ordered coldly.

Desperate to save himself, Tong Lu did as he was told and told them over the phone that his life was in danger. On the other end, as soon as Tong Yan and Tong Wujie heard this, they dropped everything and rushed over from different directions.

They had both been attending a banquet nearby, so they arrived quickly.

Stepping out of a red Maserati, they first noticed Tong Lu, knees trembling in terror, and then saw Jiang Chen standing some distance away, his face grim. Instantly, they understood what had happened.

"Brother Jiang Chen?!" Tong Yan exclaimed in delight, running over and clinging to his arm.

It had been a while since they'd last met, but Tong Yan's figure was unmatched among girls her age.

Lin Ning, standing nearby, noticed the beautiful girl and her luxurious car, and immediately lowered her head.

Tong Yan said, "Brother Jiang Chen, why don't you ever come to see us? You don't know how much I've wanted to contact you. My brother wouldn't let me, afraid I'd distract you, but I don't believe you were busy every single day."

Jiang Chen patted her head. "We'll talk about that later. For now, let's deal with your little brother—he seems to have been misbehaving."

Tong Wujie strode over to Tong Lu and barked, "What did you do to make Master Jiang so angry?"

Tong Lu cowered, "I... I didn't do anything. I just wanted to do some lending and collect a bit of money. It's not really a bad thing, right?"

Tong Wujie was close to cursing. Of all the people you could have messed with, why did it have to be Jiang Chen? Weren't you just asking for trouble?
