After consulting the captain, the flight attendant regretfully told Jane Tang, “I’m very sorry, Miss Jane. We’ve just spoken with ground control, and unfortunately, we’re unable to alter the flight path again.”
Jane Tang’s delicate brows drew together slightly, but there was nothing she could do except let the matter go.
When the private charter had to make an emergency landing, the airline arranged a temporary stay for Jane Tang at a five-star hotel in Harbor City as an apology.
A business car met her at the airport and drove her directly to one of the hotel’s only two presidential suites.
The hotel manager personally delivered an assortment of fruit and refreshments. “Welcome, Miss Jane. If you need anything at all, please contact us immediately. We’ll be delighted to serve you.”
Standing by the window, Jane Tang gazed at the bustling city. Then she turned around. “All right. Thank you.”
“Then let time prove it,” Lu Ling said from the side, moving both his hands and his gaze away from An Ruo.
As he spent more and more time with Li Yunmu over the past few days, Wang Ren increasingly understood the gulf between Li Yunmu and an ordinary person like himself. Because of this, Wang Ren grew ever more respectful toward Li Yunmu.
For some inexplicable reason, Modrek felt that Ji Ran might be in danger. Although he had no concrete evidence, he could not shake this ominous premonition. He therefore assigned more people to protect Ji Ran and forbade her from going out at night.
Yet judging from the outcome of today’s battle, the mercenaries of Rodriguez Academy had deployed a large number of low-level machines. Once the higher-ranking fighters had been killed one after another, those low-level machines were simply no match for the corrupted demons.
Su Qingge took a light bite. At once, the fresh flavor of the seafood filled her taste buds. It was indeed crisp on the outside and tender within, with wonderfully succulent meat.
After two lifetimes of love, his heart was like a pure and untouched land, its soil thickly rooted with snow-white, immaculate flowers of the other shore.
When Mother Chen saw the indecent photographs of “Ji Ran” and Lin Zidong, it felt as though needles were stabbing into her heart. The pain was almost unbearable.
Although Nalan Ruyu had a job of her own, her salary was very low. As a contract worker, she was not a formally established employee, and there was a considerable difference in pay.

The will was nothing more than a fuse—a timed bomb that would set the Mo and Luo families against each other and thrust them into the eye of the storm.
Over those six years, Luo Qinghan had spent nearly a year living in darkness, her heart filled with endless regret and torment.
Gu Nanyu had never openly challenged him over anything, but because of Ling Xiuqi, she dared to do anything.
Upon returning to Liaodong, Gongsun Zan felt utterly humiliated by his flight from battle. Although the circumstances at the time had left him no choice, no matter how one looked at it, Gongsun Zan had still fled without fighting. His state of mind was therefore easy to imagine.
Before the plucked bird could finish speaking, another scream rang from its throat.
Still unwilling to give up, she seized an opportunity and sank her teeth into the hand restraining her. When she finally released it, a neat row of blood-red tooth marks stood out starkly on the dark hand.
“Yes, that’s right. I have a family background—a very powerful one. But when have you ever seen me use my family connections to intimidate you? And yet every time you see me, you avoid me like the plague. Have I ever said anything?”
Yuan Huanxuan said, “I can’t guarantee whether the matter you entrusted to me will succeed. I’m only saying I’ll bring it up and test his attitude. That’s all.”
Gu Nanyu had been deceived by her for many years. If not for the words she spoke before her death, Gu Nanyu would still not have seen through Gu Dongxue’s true nature.
“Cheng Song, are you sure this is the place? Why is it so deep? I don’t think I can go on…” Golden Tooth was drenched in sweat and panting heavily. A bundle was strapped to his back, with a long torch thrust diagonally through it. In one hand he gripped a climbing pick set with a spirit stone, complaining as he descended.
Her hair flew loose as she clapped and stamped her feet. The sisters-in-law hurled insults at each other in a chaotic uproar, while children cried amid the general mayhem. The elder brother came to break up the fight, and the younger brother tried to mediate, but she abruptly changed tack and accused the elder brother of being a spineless coward and the younger one of being completely henpecked. Every man was afraid of his wife, she claimed; none of them would speak up for her or stand up for her.
“A-Li, you’re so clever! How did I not think of that? We can save the money from selling the fish, and then we won’t have to worry about travel expenses.” Joy colored Tian Yao’s voice, and the weariness vanished from her face. She thought herself terribly foolish for not having come up with this idea sooner.
After swallowing, I had to admit that when I saw Lilad drink all the blood in the cup, I felt that the blood probably was not fishy at all.
“Your Highness, don’t you find this strange?” Rong’er asked in surprise as she looked at Leng Yu’s calm, unruffled face.

Next, Wen Ruyu went to Pill Summit again and borrowed another batch of pills. After all, how could he distribute pills to the disciples he had recruited if he had none?
Li Daniu had Mu Hongling following behind him, which severely restricted his movements. He simply did not dare step forward and kill the serpent-shaped giant beast.
Yu Wei was startled. Acting on instinct, she snatched up the candlestick from the table and swung it down toward Leng Yu’s head, but a sharp shout frightened the wits out of her.
“Would you like to come over and eat with us? We can’t finish all this anyway.” Yue Yue lowered her head and spoke shyly.
He waited until Ning Fengyue’s breathing gradually became even and she had fallen quietly asleep. Only then did he gently lift her head from his lap and slip away. Before leaving, Li Ning tucked the blanket around Ning Fengyue, then flew toward the Azure Wood Bee with the Light Concealment Sword.
The Wei cavalryman was completely unfazed. Holding his spear in both hands, he swept it upward with all his strength, fully confident that he could knock away the curved saber of the Zhou cavalryman. He then intended to thrust the spear back at the man’s throat and take his life.
Wang Lingxin’s heart gave a sudden jolt. What a foolish child. Yet she did not stop him. She only wanted to live like this for the rest of her life.
Luo Xi froze. She had not expected Qingfeng to suddenly say that he wanted to remove his mask, and for a moment she had no idea how to react.
In the past, whenever Rong Lin saw her, his attitude was invariably hostile. Yet this time, for some unknown reason, he merely remained silent about her presence and allowed her to help.
But a month had already passed. Back then, the British Ministry of Magic had been unable to enter and investigate the actual situation because the Japanese magical world had sealed itself off from the outside. Thus, they could only wait until Sherlock returned to confirm that none of this had anything to do with him.
To be honest, I’m rather poor at history. Put plainly, it was taught by the physical education teacher.
A reminder in his phone’s notes told him that tomorrow was her birthday. The surprise she had prepared for him on his birthday had remained unforgettable, so he had plans of his own as well.
