Yang Qixiu snarled at Zhao Guihua, “Tuantuan is my sister, the little princess of the Yang family. You stole my sister from us, and now I’m going to settle that debt with you!”

Yang Qixiu drew a sharp scalpel from his pocket and made as if to butcher Zhao Guihua.

He had gone mad as well. In the dream he had seen, Tuantuan had suffered every kind of abuse at Zhao Guihua’s hands. Judging by Zhao Guihua’s attitude now, Yang Qixiu did not dare imagine what his sister had endured over the past two years.

Yang Boyu gave a sinister smile. “You dared bully my sister? Isn’t being alive wonderful?”

Just as the two men were about to kill Zhao Guihua, Yang Chengze suddenly shouted, “Little sister!”

The two brothers immediately rushed forward to check on her.

Tuantuan had fainted.

The tiny child seemed weightless in their arms. She was frighteningly light—plainly suffering from severe malnutrition. Murderous intent flashed in Yang Chengze’s eyes.

Seeing his sister’s condition, Yang Qixiu urged, “Big brother, hurry and take her to the hospital.”

“To the hospital!” At that moment, Yang Chengze had only one thought: his sister had to be taken to the hospital immediately.

The five brothers drove Tuantuan to the hospital.

As for Zhao Guihua, there was no chance she would get away!

Both of Zhao Guihua’s hands were immobile, and she screamed furiously at their retreating backs, “Who are you people? You’re kidnapping a child! Someone’s been murdered!”

No matter how loudly she shouted, no one came to stop the five Yang brothers.

Meanwhile, Gou Dashan came sprinting home.

Five minutes earlier, he had been playing cards and losing terribly when someone told him that his family was about to strike it rich—that wealthy people who owned a private plane had gone to his house.

Gou Dashan had assumed they had come to hand him money. He abandoned the card game and raced home, preparing to demand an exorbitant sum.

Where were they?

Where was his god of wealth?

“Gou Dashan, can’t you see that I’m injured? Hurry up and take me to the hospital!”

Only then did Gou Dashan notice the knife still lodged in Zhao Guihua’s hand. Blood streamed from the wound, making for a horrifying sight.

Even then, Gou Dashan was most concerned about money. He hurriedly asked, “What happened? Where did the people who came to give us money go?”

“Give your mother that nonsense! Those people attacked me for no reason and stole the little brat away! They claimed to be the brat’s brothers!”

Brothers?

Her brothers had come. Perhaps they would give them a large sum for raising her!

Lost in his daydreams, Gou Dashan pulled Zhao Guihua to her feet.

“Ah!”

Zhao Guihua let out another bloodcurdling scream.

Gou Dashan grabbed her other arm, not realizing that it was broken. Not only could he not pull her up, he dislocated her shoulder as well.

Her arm!

It was ruined!

Zhao Guihua screamed obscenities through her agony. Seeing that she was about to reveal those secrets, Gou Dashan simply removed one of his foul-smelling socks and stuffed it straight into her mouth.

There. Peace and quiet at last.

The brothers had taken Tuantuan to the hospital.

After the examinations, the results left all five brothers horrified and furious.

The three-and-a-half-year-old child had frequently been beaten. The scars covering her body were a mixture of fresh wounds and old ones, a shocking sight to behold. Most alarming of all was her mental state. She recoiled from contact with others, especially strangers.

There were also numerous needle marks on Tuantuan’s body, so faint that they could hardly be seen without close inspection.

Yang Chengze had carried Tuantuan all the way inside and therefore felt it most deeply. His sister was far too light. With her frail, dying appearance, she looked as though she might slip away from this world at any moment.

Eyes red, Yang Chengze handed his sister over to the doctors. When he watched Tuantuan being wheeled into the emergency room, something inside him completely snapped.

Outside the room, the five brothers waited in anguish, their eyes bloodshot with worry.

At that moment, Yang Chengze’s assistant, Li Ge, walked in and handed the brothers the paternity test report. Tuantuan was indeed the missing seventh daughter of the Yang family.

At the same time, Li Ge gave Yang Chengze another investigative report.

“Boss, according to our investigation, the seventh young lady lived in Little West Ravine for two years. Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan treated her terribly. They beat and berated her at the slightest provocation. At best, they cursed her; they also made her feed the pigs and wash clothes, while refusing to give her enough to eat. Everyone in the village can testify to it.”

“Damn it!”

Yang Boyu rolled his wrists, his fingers cracking loudly.

At twenty years old, and having practiced martial arts for years, he could not tolerate scum like this.

“They dared bully my sister? I’m going to use a knife to carve the flesh from those two one inch at a time!”

Furious, he rolled up his sleeves and headed for the door. “Damn it! My sister is not someone those two pieces of trash can lay a hand on! If they won’t submit, we’ll fight. When there’s a chance to use our fists, there’s no need for talk!”

Even Yang Suiyi, the gentle superstar who was adored by millions, spoke in a voice filled with rage. “Throw that couple into the sea and feed them to the sharks!”

Yang Chengze stared at the documents, his sharp brows drawn tightly together. His voice was cold and hard.

“Killing them would be letting them off too easily. I want them to wish they were dead. Every ounce of pain they inflicted on our sister will be returned to them a hundredfold!”

The fifth brother, Yang Junjie, glanced at his brothers and asked, “Should we tell Father? He’ll surely be overjoyed to hear that we’ve found our sister.”

The eldest brother shook his head. “Not yet. Our sister is seriously injured. If Father comes and sees her in this condition, the shock might worsen his illness.”

After his daughter disappeared, Father Yang blamed himself, believing he had failed to care for her properly. From then on, he became bedridden, and the doctors warned the family that he could no longer withstand any further emotional shock.

Mother Yang, devastated by Tuantuan’s disappearance and consumed by longing for her daughter, lost all will to live and eventually passed away.

After discussing the matter, the brothers decided not to tell the family for the next few days. They would wait until Tuantuan had recovered before revealing that they had found her.

Just then, Yang Chengze reached the end of the documents and discovered something important.

Li Ge continued, “Boss, I also found out that Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan have no source of income. They are lazy, gluttonous gamblers. Yet they told the villagers that the seventh young lady was their money tree. As long as they kept her, they would receive a sum of money every year.”

That detail made all five brothers sense the presence of a conspiracy.

Why had someone taken their sister away?

Why steal Tuantuan without killing her, only to hand her over to Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan to raise?

What secret lay behind all this?

More importantly, why had all six brothers dreamed the same dream about Tuantuan’s whereabouts?

Should they wait until their sister woke and ask her?

The little girl slowly opened her eyes.

Her body was warm, and there was not the slightest chill in the room. It was a kind of warmth she had never known before—so unreal that it hardly seemed true.

Turning her head, she discovered several brothers gathered around the bed. Every one of them was looking at her with tenderness and concern.

“Little sister, you’re awake. Are you thirsty? Would you like some water?”

Even that gentle voice was something Tuantuan had never experienced before.

“Being dead is wonderful.”

Dead—and she could feel so much warmth.

Her words made all five brothers clench their fists in unison. They wanted nothing more than to beat Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan senseless.

How much suffering had their sister endured for her to say that dying was wonderful?

Those vile child traffickers!

Whenever they imagined Tuantuan kneeling on the floor, their hearts twisted with pain.

Their sister should have been cherished and adored by everyone. Instead, she had been forced to endure such misery.

Seeing the timid, uneasy expression on her face, the brothers hurried forward one after another, each wanting to be the first person she saw and hoping to soothe her fears.

Yang Chengze moved closest to the bed and explained gently, “Tuantuan, you’re safe. You’re in the hospital. We brought you here, and the doctors have examined you. Once you’ve recovered, we’ll take you home.”

Yang Qixiu brought over a cup of water. “Tuantuan, would you like a sip first?”

The little girl was thirsty. She stared at the warm water but was too frightened to reach for it.

When her eyes met Yang Qixiu’s concerned gaze, she recognized him.

She remembered him taking off his padded coat and putting it on her. She remembered him carrying her.

But she did not know the others. Her eyes were filled with resistance and distrust.

Seeing her recoil from the others, Yang Qixiu gently lifted her into his arms and brought over a straw so she could drink more easily.

When the other brothers saw that Tuantuan had accepted their second brother, they all panicked.

The eldest, Yang Chengze, said with heartache, “Tuantuan, from now on, your brothers will never let anyone hurt you again.”

The brothers’ concerned gazes overwhelmed the little child.

She was painfully thin; lying on the bed, she looked even smaller and more fragile.

The timid little girl gazed cautiously at the men beside the bed, her whole body tense with resistance. Seeing this, the brothers’ eyes filled with tears, and they were seized by the urge to kill that couple.

After drinking a cup of warm water, Tuantuan studied the five brothers.

“Are you my brothers?”

Her face was blank with confusion, and her round, shining eyes were filled with disbelief.

Had Little Mei been telling the truth?

Had Little Mei really helped her find her family?
