Left with no choice, Lin Yu and his companions fought back. Working in perfect coordination, they quickly subdued the bandits. However, just then, the sarcophagus suddenly shuddered violently, and a plume of black smoke surged from the cracks.

"No, the evil force has been released!" Li Yang cried out.

The black smoke spread rapidly, forming a colossal monster. The creature wore a hideous expression and exuded a terrifying aura. It opened its cavernous maw and lunged at them.

Lin Yu quickly regained his composure, directing his team to follow the tactics they had prepared beforehand. Some members focused on distracting the monster, while others sought its weakness.

After a fierce battle, they discovered the monster's weakness was its head. Lin Yu seized the opportunity, leaped into the air, and drove his blade deep into the creature's head. The monster let out a mournful cry, and the black smoke gradually dissipated until it vanished entirely.

After successfully resolving the crisis at the temple, Lin Yu and his team did not forget their mission. They conducted a comprehensive investigation and study of the temple, properly handled the dangerous artifacts they discovered, and set up warning signs around the site to prevent others from wandering in.
