Chapter Forty-One: An Unprecedented Violet Radiance

The cyan radiance on the Bloodline Stone exploded outward, filling the surroundings with shimmering azure light. In only a few short minutes, the towering cultivation tower that pierced the clouds had changed from its original green to cyan.
The moment the cyan radiance appeared, everyone present widened their eyes.
Because cyan light meant that a seed of a Martial Grandmaster had emerged.
One had to know that throughout Cloudsea Academy, the last person whose talent had been measured as cyan had been Chu Tianchen’s younger aunt.
That had been twenty years ago.
Now that someone with cyan talent had appeared again, how could anyone not be shaken?
“C-cyan talent? The academy is about to produce another Martial Grandmaster! Who is it?”
“I heard them say that the person ran away as soon as the test was over, as though he had something to hide. With talent like that, what could he possibly be hiding?”
“Could he not be one of our academy’s students? But if he isn’t, why would he come here to have his talent tested?”
“And that terrifying tremor the Bloodline Stone caused just now might even be related to the person who took the test.”
…
Everyone began talking at once.
At that moment, however, Li Haizhu stood rooted to the spot, staring at the cyan radiance in a daze.
The others did not know who had created that cyan light, but he knew perfectly well.
Although Li Haizhu had known that Chu Tianchen was extraordinary, he had never expected him to be this powerful.
“Chu Tianchen, Chu Tianchen… What kind of bloodline are you hiding?”
Li Haizhu murmured inwardly.
“Elder Qingfeng, I know who it is.”
A voice suddenly rang out from within the crowd.
Everyone followed the sound and looked over. A beautiful figure appeared in their line of sight. Had Chu Tianchen been there, he would certainly have recognized her.
The speaker was none other than Lin Yurou of Youhuang Ancient City.
Standing beside Lin Yurou was the Young Master Taixu.
“Lin Yurou, tell us who it is,” Elder Qingfeng said at once.
Hearing this, Lin Yurou, dressed in purple, stepped forward. As she gazed at the cyan radiance on the Bloodline Stone, her face bloomed with delight.
“It’s the Young Master Taixu,” Lin Yurou said directly.

At once, everyone turned to look at Yin Taixu beside her.
Only then did they remember that Yin Taixu had indeed never tested his talent at the academy.
He was not yet thirty, yet he already possessed cultivation at the Heavenly Dipper Realm. With such strength, no one would question his talent upon his entry into Cloudsea Academy.
Throughout the entire Great Qian Empire, there had never been such a young Heavenly Dipper expert before.
Naturally, no one had asked him to come here and test his talent.
Yin Taixu was currently in the inner court. He had signed a three-year contract with Cloudsea Academy and was now an instructor there. That was how he had come to know Lin Yurou. Strictly speaking, Lin Yurou was his disciple.
However, Yin Taixu never allowed anyone to address him as Elder or Instructor. Within Cloudsea Academy, he had always gone by the title Young Master Taixu.
“So it’s the Young Master Taixu. He’s already reached the Heavenly Dipper Realm at such a young age. Entering the realm of the Martial Grandmaster in the future is practically certain. If he couldn’t produce cyan talent, that would be the unreasonable thing.”
“Damn, I thought the academy had produced another peerless genius. So it’s the Young Master Taixu. I got excited for nothing. As expected of someone from the Greater World—his talent truly isn’t something we can compare with.”
“I’m so envious of Lin Yurou and Youhuang Ancient City. Since the Young Master Taixu has taken a liking to her, she’ll certainly be going to the Greater World in the future as well. I heard Martial Grandmasters are everywhere there. I wonder whether that’s true.”
“Eighty percent of it is probably true. Just look at the Chu family of the Duke Protector’s Residence. Do you know why so many Martial Grandmasters have emerged from their family? Do you really think every one of them is a peerless genius? It’s because Chu Qingcang once went to the Greater World. He must have gained some great opportunity there, which allowed one Martial Grandmaster after another to emerge from the Chu family.”
…
Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.
That, perhaps, was how rumors came into being.
A person who had never visited the Greater World—not even spoken with anyone from there—could simply open his mouth and make things up.
At that moment, amid the crowd’s discussion, Yin Taixu approached the Bloodline Stone.
“So it’s the Young Master Taixu. You’ve truly opened our eyes. We haven’t seen cyan talent in a long time,” Elder Qingfeng said flatteringly.
After all, Young Master Taixu claimed to come from the Greater World. On top of that, he was so young and possessed such formidable cultivation.
Let alone Elder Qingfeng—even within the entirety of Cloudsea Academy, how many people did not wish to befriend him?
Yet at that moment, as Yin Taixu gazed at the Bloodline Stone radiating cyan light, a trace of suspicion appeared in his eyes.
He had indeed tested his talent here, but that had been an hour earlier, when Lin Yurou had secretly brought him over. At the time, the result had been only yellow talent.
He had even cursed and grumbled that the Bloodline Stone’s talent test was complete nonsense.
Lin Yurou had agreed with him. After all, he was already at the Heavenly Dipper Realm. Based on his cultivation alone, he should theoretically have been measured as having green talent. Yet his talent had stopped at yellow. How could anyone possibly believe that?
He had never expected that, an hour later, the Bloodline Stone would suddenly go haywire.
By then, Chu Tianchen had already returned to the outer court. Looking up at the cyan cultivation tower, disappointment showed in his eyes.
“Only cyan?”
Having been reborn twice and opened a ten-thousand-zhang meridian wheel, producing only cyan light was indeed disappointing.

Just as he was about to turn around and return to his dormitory, the cultivation tower glowing with cyan light gradually deepened in color. In the end, it slowly began to change.
Several minutes later, a faint blue radiance illuminated the void once more.
Blue!
Throughout Cloudsea Academy’s thousand-year history, no record of a talent test before the Bloodline Stone had ever shown blue light.
In fact, no one had even known that the Bloodline Stone could measure blue talent. This had completely surpassed their understanding of the stone.
Still, no one was foolish. They naturally understood that blue talent had to be far more terrifying than cyan talent.
As the blue light grew increasingly intense, the corners of Chu Tianchen’s lips finally curved upward.
“Big Brother Tianchen? Why are you here? Are you waiting for Wang Teng too?”
“What is that blue light over there?”
A voice suddenly came from behind Chu Tianchen. He turned and saw Zhao Tengfei and Mo Xiaolang.
“I was drawn here by the blue light too. I don’t know what it is. I’ll find someone to ask tomorrow,” Chu Tianchen said evasively.
He had seen Wang Teng in the cultivation chamber. The two of them had probably learned that Wang Teng had gone to the inner court for special instruction and were waiting here for him. Or perhaps Wang Teng had told them to wait here.
The three of them then looked up at the blue radiance, captivated by its brilliance.
Meanwhile, inside the cultivation chamber, everyone had long since been utterly shaken by the blue light.
Their gazes toward Yin Taixu had changed. Their eyes were filled with worship and respect, and even a hint of fear.
That was because, only a few minutes earlier, Yin Taixu had been looking at the Bloodline Stone as it radiated cyan light when he suddenly cut open his palm again and dripped his blood onto the stone.
The instant his blood touched the Bloodline Stone, the cyan stone, which had remained unchanged until then, suddenly deepened in color and turned blue!
Yin Taixu also smiled when he saw the Bloodline Stone turn blue.
“I thought this broken stone was defective. Turns out it was just delayed.”
Yin Taixu mused inwardly.
He then dripped several more drops of blood onto the Bloodline Stone. The blue radiance on its surface intensified wildly. After roughly ten minutes, it suddenly changed once again.
When purple light appeared, the warriors throughout Cloudsea’s inner court could no longer remain calm. All the senior figures present hurried toward the scene, and even Ye Nichang stepped out of her dormitory and headed toward the cultivation tower.
“Could it be that it wasn’t Chu Tianchen after all? Was this truly created by the Young Master Taixu?”
Li Haizhu, standing among the crowd, could not help but wonder.
